sunset in bkk

from the ultra modern traffic indicators, to the baby elephants on the sidewalk, it's a city like no other...

the grand palace

is truly grand, Troy took me on my first weekend, it's really amazing

the cliffs of pattaya

and the lovely sheraton resort was our brief refuge on a weekend away, 2 hour drive or a $2 bus trip (2.5hrs) gets you there...the room was a tad bit more, you know when you are quoted in US dollars - ur in trouble.

what a city

from the over 2000 7/11 stores in Bangkok alone...you come to appreciate the many wonderful things around almost every corner...

food, oh the food...

from my favorite noodle place (crispy pork and fresh crab over noodles), to dining outside in loungey excellence on xmas, to pad thai made to order (35 cents, 20 with no egg), and fresh bbqd fish (yes I have the recipe corey), the pappaya salad lady, and well to even elephants who prefer street food and order to go...

a tuk tuk

is a 3 wheelie type of craft for those not familiar with the term...now Mark was a little apprehensive after I told him the story of a driver doing a wheelie the night before for the 3 corpulent corn fed dudes in the back of one outside of my hotel, but we kept all three on the ground for our Christmas day tour with Mark's friend Ek, the driver seems to have had even more fun than we did if that's possible!

night market comes to life

they put it up and tear it down every night, amazing work and an amazing shopping experience

The Dome on top of BKK

Paul and Ning took me to the fabu Sirocco bar....haha everyone wanted to take me there. You can see, it's not a place you would get tired of...64th floor, going....up!

Mates!

from my friend and classmate Paul and his lovely Ning, to Troy, Brian and Mark I had lots of friends in BKK when I was there, luckyme.

dinner in samet

from cockle shells (my fav new shellfish) to comfy cushions...and the waitstaff...you could spend hours and hours under the moon light without a care in the world...

Koh Samet

Leaving Koh Samet

it was a sad time, I wasn't happy to go, Bri slept in denial, and the driver....well the driver does this route so many times a day....he could have done it with one leg tied behind his back.

make a wish on samet

Bri and I sent a lil balloon off for a starry wish, we wondered why the sky was full of these 'slow moving shooting stars' until the balloon man came bye and sold us one...then we knew what was up!
