my first tart

well...in a manner of speaking!

first fruit tart!

This is easy, I used plum and green apple, arrange slices on a pastry/pie crust that has been baked blind for about 5 minutes (prick with fork before baking blind). After you arrange slices, sprinkle with a mixture of a tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. Bake for about 10minutes until edges get golden brown, then remove. Place on a cutting board or a rack to cool and stop the cooking process. At this time heat a couple of tablespoons of apricot jam in the microwave, then brush over the top of the tart while still warm.

Enjoy! A bit of cream or ice cream goes along nicely!

Tower Of London

This is across the river and as you can imagine, next to Tower Bridge. It's really massive, and I've not yet visited so let me know if you are coming over and want to go! We can check it out.
